The Big Bend Sentinel
The Big Bend Sentinel, founded in Marfa in 1926, is a labor of love for its current owners, Maria del Rosario Salgado Halpern and Robert Louis Halpern. As Big Bend-area natives, they have an inherent expertise, knowledge and love of its multicultural inhabitants and exquisite terrain as they’ve chronicled West Texas these past 20 years.

Marfa Public Radio
Marfa Public Radio (KRTS 93.5 FM) serves Far West Texas with NPR programming, eclectic music and local news and affairs. Their mission is to provide radio that unites the community and promotes cultural enrichment through presentation and focus on the importance of art, education, quality of life and the local economy.

Marfa Book Co.
The best book store in Marfa, offering a well-curated selection of art, architecture, Texas history, design, fiction, and poetry books.

Padre’s MarfaPadre's
Padre’s features a hardwood dance floor, a fully stocked bar with an extensive beer and tequila selection, an “ice house” style back game room with shuffleboard, pool, pinball, and two vintage jukeboxes, a big screen for cheering on your favorite Texas teams, live music, delicious food, and a comfortable outdoor patio with a fountain and fire pit.

Thunderbird HotelThunderbird Hotel
A locally run hotel since 1959, Bob Harris of Lake/Flato Architects reinvigorated the Thunderbird’s classic ‘50s horseshoe shape and interior courtyard for its 2005 reopening. The renovation transformed the structure into a model of modern design and livability while maintaining the original hotel’s bygone feeling of leisure.

Marfa IndustriesMarfa Industries
Marfa Industries is a collective of individuals who provide services for events in Marfa, Texas. Together they handle every aspect of production including sound, lighting, video, catering, staging and hospitality.

Marfa Recording CompanyMarfa Recording Company
Marfa Recording Company is a full-service analog and digital recording studio.  MRC works on projects for bands, voice-overs, commercials and foley/sound effects, as well as live sound services for concerts, lectures, weddings, banquets and more.

Crowley Theater
The best theater in Marfa. The Crowley Theater is for the use of non-profit and educational groups from the local area.
